# pulls_list

> List pull requests. Filter by `state`, by `base` branch, or by `head` in the form 'user:branch'.

  | `state`     | [IssueState](/charter/charter/packs/github/issues/objects#issuestate)       | Either `open`, `closed`, or `all` to filter by state. Defaults to `open`. <span className="field-constraints">defaults to `"open"`</span> |
  | `head`      | `string`                                                            | Filter pulls by head user or head organization and branch name in the format of `user:ref-name` or `organization:ref-name`.               |
  | `base`      | `string`                                                            | Filter pulls by base branch name. Example: `gh-pages`.                                                                                    |
  | `sort`      | [PullSort](/charter/charter/packs/github/pulls/objects#pullsort)            | What to sort results by. Defaults to `created`. <span className="field-constraints">defaults to `"created"`</span>                        |
  | `direction` | [SortDirection](/charter/charter/packs/github/issues/objects#sortdirection) | The direction of the sort. Default: `desc` when sort is `created` or not specified, otherwise `asc`.                                      |
