# pulls_create

> Open a pull request from `head` into `base`. Provide `title` for a new pull request, or `issue` to convert an existing issue into one — exactly one of the two. Both branches must already exist.

<div className="tool-route"><span className="tool-row-method" data-method="POST">POST</span><code>{"https://api.github.com/repos/{owner}/{repo}/pulls"}</code></div>

```python github_pulls_create.py theme={null}
from charter.packs import github
result = await github.pulls_create.ainvoke({"owner": ..., "repo": ..., "body": ...})
```

<Note>
  Requires `repo`, `read:user`.
</Note>
