# issues_list_milestones

> List a repository's milestones, with how many issues in each are open and closed. Sort by `completeness` to see what is nearly done.

  | `owner` <span className="required" title="required">\*</span> | `string` | The account owner of the repository. The name is not case sensitive.                     |

  | `page`      | `integer`                                                           | The page number of the results to fetch. Defaults to 1. <span className="field-constraints">≥ 1; defaults to `1`</span>           |
  | `state`     | [IssueState](/charter/charter/packs/github/issues/objects#issuestate)       | The state of the milestone. GitHub uses `open` when this is absent.                                                               |
  | `sort`      | [MilestoneSort](/charter/charter/packs/github/issues/objects#milestonesort) | What to sort results by. GitHub uses `due_on` when this is absent; `completeness` sorts by how much of the milestone is closed.   |
  | `direction` | [SortDirection](/charter/charter/packs/github/issues/objects#sortdirection) | The direction of the sort. GitHub uses `asc` when this is absent.                                                                 |
